We’re proud to share the news that Houston maritime attorney Matthew Shaffer have been selected for inclusion in the 2014 Texas Super Lawyers list. Additionally, Arthur Schechter was named to the list, and Cynthia Huerta was named to the 2014 Texas Rising Stars list.

Shaffer, a managing partner of Schechter, Shaffer & Harris, L.L.P., has been named to the Super Lawyers list since 2005. He is board certified in Personal Injury Law and handles all types of accident claims, including maritime and Jones Act cases.

Schechter is a founding partner of the Houston personal injury law firm and a former U.S. ambassador. He was named a Texas Super Lawyer in general personal injury law as well as alternative dispute resolution. He has been included on the prestigious list every year since 2003.

Huerta joined SMSH after a successful career with an insurance defense firm. She now uses her experience to maximize compensation for accident victims. She has been selected to the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star list for general personal injury law since 2007.
